Bondage Games and Sex Restraints

Bondage sex is arguably as old as the art of making love itself. Still, bondage would be nothing without bounds and gags to make the seduction, and dungeon complete. Sex restraints have come a long way since the days of TIE HER UP WITH A LITTLE ROPE. There are now a wide array of sex restraints that are changing the way BDSM fans look at their passion. Join the fun and learn more about what’s new in the bondage world, who’s tying up who and with what!

There aren’t many people in the world who haven’t tinkered with the idea of acting out that most desired fantasy hidden somewhere within them, a place in their mind that they rarely ever venture to. For some folks, that fantasy can be as innocent as playing basketball with their childhood hero, or walking up to find Halle Berry lying in bed beside them. And for some others, it’s bondage.

When Americans were questioned on their views about bondage, popularly known as BDSM, 3/4 of American men interviewed admitted finding the act erotic. Women found it pretty hot too.

What’s Bondage?

So what exactly is bondage? In a nutshell, bondage is the act of restraining other people, typically for sexual gratification. But there are also bondage fans who view it as an art form of sorts, they’re called riggers. For many people, bondage ain’t about Picasso.

There’s a variety of BDSM subcultures, with Leathermen being one of the most vocal and controversial. Leathermen are just your average Harley lovin bikers, expect they like sex restraints. Oh, and they’re gay.

Bondage is also increasing in popularity amongst couples. Of course no one’s shouting I love it when my wife sticks a tail hook in my butt from the rooftops, but BDSM companies that market their products toward couples aren’t starving and begging for hand outs. Which means that a substantial number of couples have crossed over.

Bondage remains an adult film industry cash cow. Right up there with barely legal college coed and girl-girl porno. Pretty impressive, considering that bondage pornography has been around since the Deep Throat days. Apparently, BDSM takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Sex Restraints

As the saying goes, “Behind every strong man, there’s a woman who is actually the one doing all the work,” and in the mouth of every happily dominated, choked and gagged BDSM fan, there are sex restraints that set it all in motion. Ok, so maybe that’s not how the first saying goes, but that part about the role of sex restraints in bondage play is the undisputed truth.

There’s nothing like a thick piece of rope around your neck to really make the bondage act complete. The great thing about being a bondage bunny is the fact that most of the stuff that masquerades as sex restraints are usually housed right between the books and gardening tools cluttering the garage.

Types of Sex Restraints

• Rope: There’s always plenty of this lying around the basement for occasional lifting and hauling. When it comes to bondage, rope is a coveted commodity due to its flexibility.

• Chains: Chain like devices, like cop’s handcuffs, thumbcuff (which have been linked to poor blood circulation) and belly chains, make for naughty BDSM play.

• Straitjackets: Naturally straitjackets are infamous for keeping the crazies down at the looney bin in line. Where bondage is concerned, straitjackets are popular toys. The mobility inhibitor is just too good to be true. Since the straitjacket joined the sex restraints family, they’ve received a facelift and are now available in leather.

• Monogloves: Monogloves are mostly offered in leather, although spandex and rubber are also options. Monogloves run from the fingertips to the elbows and holds the bondee’s arms behind the back. The monogloves are then fastened behind the back with an elaborate zipper or fancy ribbon. If you’re a Madonna fan, monogloves might sound familiar. They were featured briefly in the Material Girl’s 1994 Human Nature music video.

• Sleepsack: The sleepsack is BDSM’s answer to a sleeping bag, just tighter-a lot tighter. This bondage toy is designed to confine bondee for long period of time, and the zipper that reaches to the neck area ensures that they won’t be going anywhere on their own.

• Bondage hooks: Bondage hooks are available as vaginal, tail, nose and mouth hooks. These types of sex restraints are used during bondage play for hanging, spreading and stretching.

• Mouth gags: What do Pulp Fiction and The Simpsons have in common? Well, both pop culture icons featured mouth gags as guest stars. Gotta wife that just won’t shut up? Sex restraints are the answer you’ve been searching for, stuff a mouth gag in her mouth. And boy will you have a lot to choose from. Over the mouth, also known as OTM, cleave, ball and the infamous, muzzle, are all mouth gags available for purchase for any bondage game. Or a wife that won’t shut up, of course.
